JOB SUMMARY

  • The role holder will partner with S&T stakeholders to develop business process documentation in ARIS which accurately reflects current and to-be processes.
  • Review process documentation ensuring the approach to process modelling is consistent across the S&T Process Universe process models and align to the S&T process design principles and conventions.
  • Provide challenge and design to ensure decisions made support good process design outputs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent good process design principles in programme activities, design sessions and decision making
  • Provide clear guidance to programme stakeholders around good process design and how to apply process design principles to design work  
  • Be familiar with the contents of the S&T Process Universe and the details of the process documentation (ARIS process maps).
  • Provide thought leadership and coaching to the Process Modelling team to ensure ARIS process maps reflect current processes in a clear and connected manner and allows stakeholders to easily understand the business objectives and desired outcomes of the process and customer journey. 
  • Work with colleagues to ensure quality of process documentations meets the S&T process modelling standards and conventions to improve the ways of working as needed.  
  • Develop productive working relationships with S&T colleagues, GPOs and Stakeholders 
  • Work with Operational Risk to identify and maintain oversight of mitigating action plans for risks within process design.
  • Ensure there are clear roles and responsibilities in place for process owners.
  • Highlight significant risks or issues to HR S&T Process Excellence and work with stakeholders to remediate.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Our Ideal Candidate 
•    5+ years’ experience in process design and process management, producing high quality process maps and other associated documents. Expert user of the ARIS10 business process management platform.
•    Process and system knowledge: Must have experience designing customer processes for large organisations, enabled by technology. Experience with S&T processes and good technical appreciation and understanding of service management applications would be useful. 
•    Communication: Strong communication skills – oral, written and presentation with an ability to engage and support a variety of stakeholder levels including management.
•    Operations Experience: Experience of managing operations, multitasking and process reengineering within large, complex, rapidly changing and dynamic environments, whilst often under pressure.
•    Results Orientated: Outcome focussed with excellent problem-solving abilities whilst exercising good judgement.
•    Technical Appreciation: Good technical appreciation and experience of platform management, with at least a solid conceptual understanding of functionality, architecture, performance / production management.
•    Strategic: Ability to prioritise issues, seeing the ‘big picture’ and thinking conceptually, whilst simultaneously having very close attention to detail.
