Description
We’re looking for a driven Senior Manager to support high-stakes licensing deals with major clients across Asia for Amazon MGM Studios content. Strengthen influential relationships with key stakeholders and deliver strategic recommendations that maximize content value across diverse platforms and markets.
Key job responsibilities
• Support television licensing across Asia, making recommendations to AMSD leadership regarding the distribution of both Amazon MGM Studios’ original productions and MGM’s renowned film and television catalogue
• Support the development and implementation of AMSD’s territory plan and vision for Asia, working in close alignment with the Sydney team
• Support complex and high-stakes deals with major clients in Asia
• Identify, evaluate, and make recommendations to AMSD leadership regarding licensing opportunities that will help maximize the value of our content across various platforms in the assigned territories, including Amazon Local Original Productions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders across Asia
This role may require occasional international travel.
About the team
Launched in 2023, Amazon MGM Studios Distribution (AMSD) manages television licensing for Amazon MGM Studios originals and MGM’s iconic catalogue including James Bond, Rocky and Creed, The Handmaid’s Tale, Fargo, and upcoming releases like Project Hail Mary and Masters of the Universe.
We are excited to establish a local role in Singapore, which will help us to better serve our partners and customers in the region. This role will work in close collaboration with our established Sydney team, which supports all television distribution activities across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea (APAC).
Basic Qualifications
– Speak, write, and read fluently in English
– 5+ years of experience in content distribution, sales, or related field, with a focus on Asian markets
– Experience in managing complex, high-value licensing deals
– Knowledge of the television landscape and market dynamics in Asia
Preferred Qualifications
– Japanese, Korean or Chinese language skills
– Experience in managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships across multiple countries
– Excellent relationship-building skills
– Experience working independently and collaborating effectively in a remote team environment
