Group Consumer Financial Services (GCFS) is the consumer banking arm of OCBC, one of Asia’s leading financial institutions. GCFS drives the Group’s retail banking, wealth management, cards and lending businesses across key markets, serving millions of customers through data‑led insights and disciplined execution. Role Description
We are seeking an exceptional Strategy & Execution Analyst to join the GCFS Strategy & Execution team. This is a high impact role for intellectually curious, analytically strong individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and are motivated by solving complex business problems.
You will work across strategic planning, market analysis, performance tracking, and cross‑functional coordination with your contributions highly visible and quickly valued. The role offers steep learning, early responsibility, and exposure to senior decision‑makers in a performance‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Analysis
- Conduct market, industry, and competitor research to support strategic insights
- Analyse business performance, trends, and opportunities using financial and non‑financial data
- Assist in translating strategic priorities into structured initiatives and workplans
Strategic Planning & Initiative Support
- Support annual planning, prioritisation, and strategy review exercises
- Develop high‑quality presentations and materials for senior management, governance forums, and executive discussions
- Monitor progress and outcomes of strategic initiatives against defined objectives
Project Management & Execution Tracking
- Translate strategic priorities into clear initiatives, milestones, and success metrics
- Track delivery of initiatives across multiple stakeholders and teams
- Identify risks, dependencies, and execution gaps; support timely follow‑ups
- Maintain structured trackers, dashboards, and reporting cadence
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with business, finance, product, and regional country teams
- Support alignment across stakeholders to ensure effective execution of priorities
- Contribute to a high‑performance, collaborative, team culture focused on outcomes and impact
Requirements
- Strong academic credentials from a reputable university
- Background in business, finance, economics, engineering, quantitative disciplines, or related fields
- Demonstrated interest in strategy, consulting, analytics, or business transformation through internships, projects, case competitions, or relevant work experience
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured, logical approach
- High attention to detail, with the ability to synthesise insights clearly
- Comfortable working with data, financial analysis, and Excel / PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; confident engaging across levels of seniority
- Proactive, resilient, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
