The Sustainability Manager, Group Procurement leads and supports Singtel Group’s sustainable sourcing and supplier engagement initiatives. This role acts as the sustainability policy authoriser and guide, ensuring robust governance, alignment with Group Sustainability, and continuous improvement across procurement policy and ESG practices.

 

Make An Impact By

 1. Sustainability Strategy & Reporting

  • Manage the annual Singtel Group Sustainability Reporting (SR) process, including 5-year strategy, targets, and the Sustainability section in the Annual Report.
  • Oversee internal data collection, validation, and audit processes for SR.
  • Coordinate with Group Sustainability and external consultants to deliver key sustainability projects and reporting enhancements.
  • Drive initiatives to integrate sustainability considerations within procurement decisions and supplier evaluations.

2. Governance & Policy Custodianship

  • Serve as custodian of Group Procurement policies, guidelines, and governance standards.
  • Support continuous policy and process transformation to strengthen sustainability and procurement governance.
  • Maintain the Espresso Portal for sustainability and procurement policies, forms, and announcements.
  • Act as primary liaison with Group Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit.
  • Lead assurance, control, and audit activities, including exclusion list reviews and compliance checks.

 3. Stakeholder Engagement & Capability Building

  • Develop and execute the stakeholder communication and engagement strategy for sustainable sourcing.
  • Facilitate Sustainability Associates workshops and manage internal sustainability e-training programs.
  • Produce internal sustainability communications, including bi-monthly newsletters and awareness campaigns.

4. Social Sustainability & Responsible Procurement

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to advance human rights and responsible procurement practices across the Group.
  • Address and improve performance gaps identified by sustainability rating agencies through benchmarking and research.
  • Monitor progress toward sustainability targets and support external disclosures or assessments (e.g., CDP, IFRS).

Skills For Success

  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Business, or Communications.
  • 5–7 years of experience in corporate sustainability, ESG, or responsible procurement.
  • Strong understanding of global sustainability frameworks (GRI, ISSB, CDP, etc.) and reporting standards.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders and facilitate materiality assessments.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and project management skills.
  • Analytical, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
