Make an Impact by:
- Design, plan and setup/expand new/existing Singtel Regional UC infrastructure and ensuring that design conforms to offered Service Level Agreement, facilitate ease of operation and maintenance and adhere to the security best practices/standards.
- Design, plan, implement, manage the life cycle and replacement of various infrastructure and security element including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
- Manage infrastructure capacity to ensure that the performance meets the Service Level Agreements offered to customers.
- Develop and conduct testing to support new features on Singtel UC services.
- Drive technical integration with ecosystem solutions and services from 3rd party partners to complement Regional UC and Enterprise Fixed Voice service offering.
- Upgrade and enhance the performance monitoring, service management and support system of the infrastructure.
- Work with Operation team on the commissioning, implementation of changes, decommissioning, and provisioning of service.
- Ensure maintenance, upgrades and new implementations are executed with minimal impact on business and customer operations.
- Act as Tier 3 support for resolving operational incidents and problems.
- Manage equipment/system vendors, purchase equipment through tendering process and administer supplier’s contract.
- Evaluate new products and technologies for new services rollout.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and regional/global UC market competitive landscape to improve the infrastructure and services that are offered to customers.
- Technical subject matter expert for the service and act as a consultant to the pre-sales team.
- Analyse, identify and drive the implementation on areas where automation can be applied to improve efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance quality of services.
Skills for Success:
- Degree in Telecommunications/ Electrical/ Electronic or equivalent qualifications with at least 3 years of working experience.
- To have good working knowledge of Unified Communication technologies, in particular Session Border Controller, Codec, SIP, H.323, TDM Voice and relevant Multimedia Protocols.
- Familiarity with market leaders of cloud-based UC and Contact Centre (CC) solution such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Genesys, NICE, Amazon Connect, etc
- Good working knowledge on networking technology in particular IP, Internet and MPLS (such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP etc) and other layer 1 and 2 networking technologies like TDM and Ethernet.
- To have good working knowledge of servers, operating systems and virtualization such as KVM, RHEL, Linux Container, Docker, etc.
- To have good working experience and knowledge on AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) related services, in particular RADIUS, TACACS, LDAP, 2FA, IPSec, SSL, etc.
- Good working knowledge of software programming and integration, in particular Python, JSON, XML, REST, etc. will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with enterprise security standards such as CIS (Center for Internet Security) Control, SOC 2 (Security Organization Control Type 2), ISO 27001, etc will be an added advantage.
- To have the aptitude and attitude to continuously upgrade and refresh the knowledge in UC technologies and networking.
- Good inter-personal, organizational, problem solving and teamwork skills.
- Pro-active nature, independent, play a hands-on role, ability to coordinate process designs across multiple function groups and adapt in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
- Flexible, open mind and curious on new and/or unfamiliar areas to understand holistically the relationship to the services offered to customers.
