We are seeking a Talend Technical Lead or Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes using Talend Data Integration tools. This role requires strong expertise in data transformation, data warehousing, and performance optimization.
The Talend Technical Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and improve data pipeline efficiency.
What will you do?
- Architect, design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Talend to support data integration, migration, and transformation.
- Develop efficient and scalable data pipelines from multiple sources, including structured and unstructured data.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to the Talend development team, addressing complex technical challenges.
- Define and enforce best practices for Talend development, including coding standards and data quality checks.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Work closely with Enterprise architects, data architect and business stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure high-quality data delivery.
- Mentor and coach junior Talend developers, ensuring knowledge transfer and providing technical support.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams to align on data integration goals.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through validation processes and best practices.
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Talend and data integration technologies.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Strong expertise in Talend Open Studio, including ETL processes, data quality features, and data masking capabilities.
- Possess the experience implementing data pipelines using Talend to ensure successful delivery of at least 2 end to end data integration projects
- Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and data modelling (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Experience in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, AWS Glue, Snowflake, etc.) is a plus.
- Proficiency in data transformation, data warehousing, and performance tuning.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and other data formats.
- Understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Deep understanding of data integration best practices and design patterns.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Possess initiative and disposition with a strong commitment and orientation towards results and high-quality standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think out of the box
- Singaporean or Singapore PR is required due to government projects requirements
What you might also need to have:
- Talend Data Integration or Talend Big Data certification.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
