BOS Trustee Limited is the trust company owned by the Bank of Singapore Limited. Headquartered in Singapore and regulated by MAS. The company provides trust administration services. The incumbent will support the business in onboarding of new business, trust administration and trust related documentation activities. A team player to join and support the trust company in onboarding of new business and administration of trust mandates. Incumbent will supervise a team of Trust Support Service specialists

Main duties

Incumbent will supervise a team of Trust Support Service specialists who assist with preparation of documentation required for certain trust onboarding and trust administration processes including but not limited to the following

Product related matters

a. Contribute to the implementation and design of the trust product e.g. consideration of regulatory, risk and business (financial/operational/tax) issues.

b. Advise on product related queries for trust onboarding matters.

Trust administration processes

c. Distribution / Revocation requests

d. Bank account opening, processing of the bank account update forms and updating of authorised signatories of bank account(s)

e. Insurance transfers / purchase / surrendering and related processing

f. Credit facility / Guarantee / Third Party Memorandum of Charge documents processing

g. Reviewing and approving trust related documentation and checklists as required

h. Review and approve records updating in trust system

i. Review and approve payment processing for trust related expenses

j. Ensure good accurate records/trackers upkeeping of trust information (e.g. trust relevant parties) as well as trusts and/or company activities

  • Responsible for monitoring the team members’ KPIs are promptly met, such as meeting regulatory/tax filing, completion of trust administration documentation within the Service Level standards of the trust company

  • Interact and liaise with private bankers, intermediaries, internal and external stakeholders on trust and/or company matters.

  • Responsible for providing guidance and mentoring the team members in particular the handling of complex structures.

  • Handle and co-ordinate ad hoc projects as required by business needs. Maintaining relevant spreadsheets to track and record progress as necessary.

  • Assist the trust company with filing and records management, archiving, (e.g. bank statements, account records, client documentation, seal maintenance, maintenance/review of mailboxes).

Work Experience Requirements

  • Good time management and organizational skills

  • Familiar with trust onboarding and trust administration processes and documentation, and standard AML policies and requirements

  • 10 – 15 years of working experience preferred

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office, in particular Microsoft Excel

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders’ expectations and suggest / provide solutions

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, with initiative to complete the work independently

  • Able to effectively manage a team of Trust Support Service specialists

  • Team player

  • Currently managing a team, good organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Meticulous and have an eye for detail

Education Requirements

  • Degree holders

  • STEP or WMI qualification
