Why Join
As a Data Risk Specialist in Global Wholesale Banking (GWB), you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating data risks that could impact our business operations. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that our data risk management practices are robust and effective, and that we are well-positioned to achieve our strategic objectives.
How you succeed
1. Lead and provide direction and support to GWB business units in Singapore and overseas offices, on compliance and adherence and implementation and execution to Group policies, standards and processes on Data Management including Data Quality assurance.
2. Lead and provide direction and support to GWB units in Singapore and overseas offices on compliance and adherence to Group Information Security policies and standards.
3. Lead and provide direction and support on compliance and adherence and implementation and execution of Group Data Protection policies and standards.
4. Lead and drive digitalization of data management and data analytics initiatives to enhance data quality as well as oversight of GWB units in Singapore and overseas offices.
What you do
1. Provide guidance and ensure compliance and adherence by GWB units in Singapore and overseas offices, to Group policies, guidelines and standards for data governance, data quality, information management and information security.
2. Ensure that data governance policies’ requirements are operationalized and embedded into business and operational processes and aligned with Group standards.
3. Ensure that GWB Singapore and overseas offices’ data taxonomies are aligned with and integrated with Group’s integrated enterprise data taxonomy.
4. Drive digitalized monitoring and sampling of data quality across GWB Singapore and overseas offices to ensure fit-for-use and aligned with business needs and Group policies.
5. Lead and provide direction and guidance to GWB units in Singapore and overseas offices on Group-wide digitalization projects and initiatives.
6. Represent Division as Data Steward at Data Working Group (DWG) and provide support/back-up to Division Lead at Group Data Management Committee (GDMC).
Who you are
-
6 to 8 years of experience in managing operational risk, with an emphasis in data governance and management.

Proven track record of digitalization of data analytics for tracking and monitoring dashboard or reporting.

A robust understanding of core banking system framework and key critical operations would be an advantage.

Able to foster effective collaboration and achieve win-win outcomes with stakeholders.

Self-motivated and with a strong interest and keenness in technology and innovation news and developments, locally and internationally.

Able to work independently and with ab attention to details.

Speaks well and able to write and presently eloquently.
