Description

 

We are currently seeking a Risk, Compliance & Finance Analyst to join the Group Strategy and Transformation Office Division (GSTO Division). This role will focus on convergence of risk, particularly in relation to AI and modelling, with financial management, customer experience, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in data analytics, risk management, financial analysis and productivity measurement.

Risk and Compliance

  • Lead, together with relevant stakeholders, to identify, assess and mitigate risks associated with data usage, AI deployment, modelling, and operational processes.
  • Provide objective review and improvements to ensure operational and regulatory risk are effectively managed within the Division.
  • Centrally manage and coordinate regulatory submission / responses to regulators for the Division.
  • Understand and communicate the requirements from Group Regulatory Compliance and Data Protection Office to the Division, as well as drive regulatory compliance review to ensure Division operationally ready for any new / updated regulations that impacts the Division.
  • Working closely with Group Data Office and other Business Units to:-
    • Ensure that our artificial intelligence (AI) systems and predictive models adhere to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines. This role involves understanding governance frameworks, conducting risk assessments (if necessary) and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and best practices in AI ethics, data privacy, and model accountability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote responsible AI usage and facilitate audits and reporting to maintain transparency and trust in our AI and data initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Department Heads to ensure adherence to audit, business continuity management, regulatory and operational risk guidelines, and reports.
  • Perform Control Self-Assessment and Risk Control Self-Assessment for the Division, if required. Report on risk exposures to Division Head.
  • Tracking and monitoring of compulsory course completion for Division.

Financial Management & Data/Productivity Analysis

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with a focus on headcount, cost management and savings initiatives.
  • Analyse financial data to track productivity measures and assess the financial impact of operational changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Monitor the Division’s budget and headcount, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Implement cost-saving measures and monitor expenditure to ensure efficient use of funds.
  • Lead efforts to develop methodologies for measuring and attributing productivity across the organization.
  • Utilise data analytics to drive insights and recommendations for improving operational efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment between data initiatives, customer experience (CX), and overall business performance.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of operational strategies and their impact on risk and financial performance.

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
    • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in risk management, financial analysis, or related fields, with a strong focus on AI and data analytics.
    • Deep understanding of financial management principles, cost analysis, and productivity measurement methodologies.
    • Prior experience in working with senior executives will be advantageous.
    • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive decision making.
    • Resourceful and independent, capable of managing complex tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
    • Excellent time management skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
